Manok Mabuhay! Project is a backyard contract broiler production established with the objective of alleviating poverty in the country side. Its main beneficiaries are the common farmers and other marginalized sectors of the society on the country side.
ICCO Project
Capability Building of MFIs Operating in Hard-to-Reach and Frontier Areas:
This is a project funded by ICCO of the Netherlands. Its aim is to improve the capability of partner MFIs working in hard-to-reach and high-poverty areas to serve their clients, as well as developing models that work for frontier areas. In its three-year implementation from 2006 to 2009, Punla worked with three MFIs, namely; the Eastern Visayas Micro-enterprise and Multi-purpose Cooperative (Samar), Balay Mindanaw Foundation (Northern Mindanao) and Serviamus Foundation, Inc. (Lanao del Norte). The project consisted of capacity-building activities for the partner MFIs and model-building on microfinance methodologies fit for frontier areas. Punla provided the capability-building services and managed the process of model building.
